This is great Alex! Sending to my client relation's team. Do you charge additional fees for the onboarding and how does or doesn't that affect first month's pricing and deliverables?
Hi, Dave! Yes, we have a separate one-time set up fee that is added on top of the price. As for the deliverables, we've tried multiple approaches but currently we don't count the days of onboarding to the actual subscription. It means that we have those 8 days to kick off the project and once the campaign is launched, the paid monthly subscription actually starts. This way, the onboarding process doesn't influence the results at the beginning as we have a full calendar month.
Makes sense! Does that imply that the onboarding fee is approximately 25% of a normal monthly subscription (just ballparking 8 days out of 30), or, it doesn't really work like that...?
No, the logic here is slightly different. The fee is calculated based on various factors such as the price of the tools, subscriptions, extensions, etc., that we'd need, and the approximate cost of assigning and organizing a team to work on the project (including their ramp-up period, training, etc.). Though, now that I think about it, you're not too far from the truth. It's approximately around 20% of the monthly subscription price.
